Cable Operations: Correcting the Quota
By Richard Batenburg
Bob Dylan got it right – the times, they are a-changin’. When cable billing systems were created, cable operations were small – most had only a few

thousand subscribers, one product line and a handful of technicians. Today, Comcast Cable Communications alone boasts more than 21 million cable customers, 7 million high-speed Internet customers and 1 million telephone customers. Last December Comcast announced a “family” tier (and others will soon follow), adding yet another product to an already busy slate of offerings. It’s perhaps the most exciting and fast-paced time in cable’s history.

BATMANN Consulting “TWEAKS” Workforces to Improve Efficiencies
New program allows companies to receive a complete analysis and recommendations for improving workforce efficiencies in just two weeks.

Denver, CO –
BATMANN Consulting, which specializes in helping companies maximize return from technology investments, today announced the Two-Week Evaluation and Know-how – or TWEAK – workforce analysis program.

Utilizing the company’s proprietary INSIGHT™ methodology, BATMANN Consulting will spend two weeks analyzing a client’s current workforce processes and procedures and make recommendations for immediate efficiency improvements, cost reductions and profit increases.

"Our TWEAK team will take an in-depth look at current routing, dispatch, administration and field technician operations. We then provide a complete situation analysis and recommendation in an ‘Optimization Opportunity Report’ which will detail possible areas for improvement and the associated ROI,” said Vince DiBiase, Vice President of Sales for BATMANN Consulting. “We’re confident many companies will recover the cost of a TWEAK analysis many times over in just a few months.”

Unlike other workforce evaluations, which can take months and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, a TWEAK analysis allows companies to quickly and cost-effectively identify areas for improvement which can be immediately targeted. Additionally, a TWEAK analysis will reveal other areas which may warrant a more in-depth examination for future improvements.

A TWEAK analysis will examine and make recommendations that could lead to immediate efficiency improvements such as:

• Increasing the number of jobs completed per day
• Reducing the amount of technician overtime
• Improving response time and schedule flexibility
• Decreasing the technician’s reliance on dispatchers
• Enhancing customer service and satisfaction

In most cases, a TWEAK analysis will deliver an immediate return on investment through improved workforce efficiencies.

With more than 20 years of cumulative experience in the evaluation, assessment, implementation and deployment of workforce solutions to the cable, telecommunications and satellite industries, BATMANN Consulting has a proven track record in analyzing diverse business requirements and providing cable operators with process improvements that minimize operational disruptions and guarantee maximum ROI.
